English around the world-Reading and Language study学案
　　目标聚焦
　　1. 通过阅读了解美国方言及产生的原因；
　　2. 通过听力尽一步感受美国方言；
　　3. 识记并掌握下列单词或短语的用法：believe it or not; play a part in; recognize
　　教学思路
　　本部分通过学习当今世界各地说英语的特色，即便是美国东西部、南北部，说话均有所不同，使学生进一步感受到文化差异，培养其多元文化意识。然后通过听录音进一步感悟美国英语的方言。听力部分由于提供了听力课文让学生阅读，并提供了标准英语的课文录音，学生不难听懂。
　　本课是阅读、知识点讲解加听力课，重点是通过阅读材料，理解文章的内容后对该话题进行理解，然后进一步深化该话题，掌握有关的单词短语的用法，同时进行相关的听力训练。
　　教学内容主要有以下几个方面：
　　1. 通过生活引出本课的话题———方言。
　　2. 通过速读完成主旨大意的归纳，细读完成细节信息的处理，训练提高学生的阅读能力。
　　3. 让学生重点掌握课文中出现的重点句型、单词和短语的用法。
　　4．通过文章所给的提示，预测听力的内容并且先猜测正确的答案。听录音，体会英语在Houston的方言，核对听力题的答案。
　　用一节课的时间，我们进行了快速阅读，知识点的讲解和听力的训练，多种形式结合在一起，让学生感觉到步伐很紧凑；内容形式的变换又让他们始终保持着新鲜的感觉，学生的积极性和参与性应该很高，学习的效果也应不错。
